Using Sage 1000? Could Sage X3 be the right move for you?

Using Sage 1000? Could Sage X3 be the right move for you?

As the full retirement of Sage 1000 draws closer on December 31st 2024, we hear from many Sage 1000 customers who have either moved to new ERP software already or are ready to begin their migration journey. Most say that Sage 1000 performed exactly the way they needed it to and has been a workhorse for many, many years. Whilst the core product functionality can still do the job, it is often the platform and technical infrastructure on which it sits that is failing.

This article will look at the steps to determine if Sage X3 is the right option for your business. We outline the benefits of the world-class Enterprise Resource Planning software, Sage X3 and the ways in which CPiO can help with your transition.

Helping you choose your next business management software

Sage X3 is a comprehensive solution with functionality comparable with Sage 1000. It offers multi-company, multi-language and multi-currency support for those complex businesses. Sage X3 is there for a modern business which is product-centric and ideal for manufacturing and distribution organisations that require multi-dimensional reporting, improved traceability and access to real-time insights for improved planning. Sage X3 has Sage Enterprise Intelligence (SEI), and budgeting and forecasting tools like Prophix - right at your fingertips.

"We have chosen Sage X3 because of the development functionality and the ability to integrate and manage all of our complex business processes...and we've found long-term partner that can facilitate our plans for rapid growth."

Kirsty Farrand Head of Finance at Switchee

With a flexible architecture you can be assured that your system can accommodate changes in operations without causing disruptions. It benefits from a wide variety of add-ons and plugins, making it much easier and more efficient. It's also highly configurable and customisable, so can be uniquely tailored and adapted to your organisation. Available on-premise or in the cloud, Sage X3 should be on the list of products to see for anyone still sitting on Sage 1000.

What’s next, how do I move from Sage 1000 to a new Sage X3?
