A brief history of Sage X3
and its previous names

November
2005

Sage acquires Adonix and their X3 system. The system is renamed Sage Adonix X3. The product is renamed Sage ERP X3.

July
2015

The brand is shortened to Sage X3 as “the product has evolved beyond the traditional ERP that customers used to know”.

April
2018

Rebranded to Sage Enterprise Management, to give customers a more specific reference for what type of business they are looking to attract.

October
2019

The name reverts back to Sage X3 after feedback from the user community and partners, see our article here.
