November 2005 – Sage acquired Adonix and its X3 system. The system was renamed Sage Adonix X3, Source. In 2006, the product was renamed as Sage ERP X3.
July 2015- The brand is shortened to Sage X3 as “the product has evolved beyond the traditional ERP that customers used to know“.
April 2018 – Rebranded to Sage Enterprise Management
October 2019 – The name reverts back to Sage X3 after feedback from the user community and partners, see our article here
