Is Sage Intacct open source?
Not to be confused with Open Source, Sage Intacct has made its API open. API (Application Programming Interface) technology, like SDKs (software development kits) and resource whitelisting, provide developers with the ability to build custom apps which can be added on, or connected to Sage Intacct.

What platform is Sage Intacct built on?
Sage Intacct was built from the ground up as a cloud-based product. This is called ‘native-cloud’. Its cloud-based applications are built on its internally developed platform. The platform guarantees robust security, high availability, and back-ups as standard.

Who owns Sage Intacct?
- Intacct was first launched in 1999 in San Jose, California as one of the first financial and accounting systems for the cloud, aimed to businesses with consolidated ERP and e-commerce features.
- July 2017 – Intacct was acquired by Sage PLC for $850million, and rebranded as Sage Intacct Source

What database does Sage Intacct use?
Intacct uses the Oracle SQL database in the cloud. The database is fast can handle exceptionally large amounts of data.

How much does Sage Intacct cost?
Sage Intacct is sold using a SaaS pricing model. Fees are charged monthly or annually and includes all hosting costs, full access to Sage Intacct software and automatic access to upgrades. Typical implementations can be between 15 and 20 days and need to be factored into your budget.

Does Sage Intacct have an API?
Yes. The platform is built to integrate with other best-in-class solutions. Customers use Sage Intacct open APIs to integrate external applications, providing greater flexibility and allowing you to select the best options for your organisation.

Where is Sage Intacct Data Stored?
Sage’s data is stored in AWS (Amazon Web Services). AWS enables Sage to build and host data in regions and countries that are as close as possible to where customer’s businesses operate. For the UK, data is kept in AWS, eu-west-1 – Dublin, Ireland. Source
