New features in the Sage 200 desktop

Intrastat

For Ireland, Sage has added new two-digit Nature of Transaction Codes (NOTC) for Intrastat entries. The Irish Revenue extended the codes in April 2023.

New features in the Web Portal

Web Extensions and customisation

You can now customise web screens using two different methods:

  • You can customise web screens directly in the Web Portal by using Web Extensions.

Web screens can be customised by using a JSON schema file, without having to write complex JavaScript.

  • You can use the SDK tools to bundle a range of customisations directly into an SDBX Package. You can then distribute the SDBX package so it can be installed as an add-on using System Administration.

This feature also allows for greater flexibility when writing customisations, as you can include other JavaScript libraries, and write customisations in JavaScript.

Note: This functionality is only available to members of the UK Developer Programme.

And what about Sage 200 Standard 2023 R2?

New features in the Sage 200 desktop

Stock Control

  • Add warehouse locations to stock items, to quickly add the same warehouse locations to a group of stock items.
  • Import and update stock item locations.
  • Export stock item locations, used when you update or delete locations.
  • Delete stock item locations, to quickly remove a location from a group of stock items.
  • The stock item manufacturer's part number and the Supplier stock code have been increased in length from 40 to 60 characters.

Customers and suppliers

  • Set up alerts on a supplier account, to show messages when you deal with that supplier; for example, when you enter an order for that supplier.
  • You can now choose the default allocation date recorded for customer and supplier transactions. The allocation date for transactions can be set as either the date of the receipt/payment, or the date you record the allocation in Sage 200.

Nominal

  • You can now include VAT details for transactions when you import nominal transactions.
  • New option to print previous year journals, to keep a record of your journal entries.

Analysis codes

  • We've made it easier to enter and view analysis codes in a number of places, by moving them to a new Analysis Codes tab.

You'll see the new Analysis Codes tab in purchase orders and returns, sales orders and returns, quotations, proformas, invoices and credit notes.

For invoices and credit notes, the Analysis tab is now called Nominal & VAT.

General

  • We've added a new ISO currency code TRY Turkiye Lira, to be used instead of TRL.
  • To prevent you from losing important reports when your output mode is set to preview, you can choose to save reports to the spooler when you run a VAT Return, Year End, or bank reconciliation.
