Kimco Africa has been in the outsourcing business for three decades. Based in Wimborne in Dorset, the company helps organisations build their brand in retail and professional channels across Africa.
A CPiO customer for a number of years, Kimco had until recently been using the 2010 version of Sage 200. A version whilst supported by CPiO was no longer being developed by Sage, and therefore there were no technical or legislative updates available.
Paul Kitching, Operations Manager at Kimco recognised that the business needed to upgrade its IT infrastructure. The old servers needed to be replaced and updated to accommodate the latest version of Microsoft Windows Version 10; Sage 200 2010 was creaking and the performance was very slow. “With the recent introduction of HMRC’s new gateway for submitting digital VAT returns, it was time to bring Kimco on to the latest technology”, explains Paul.
“On meeting with our CPiO account manager, it was clear that the extra capabilities in Sage 200 Summer 2019 would help improve our business processes, save time and increase productivity in our business.”
The CPiO Sage 200 consultant worked closely with Paul and his team to implement Sage 200cloud Financials and Commercials for six users at Kimco, undertaking training and user testing to ensure there was a smooth transition to the new system. “The team found the new user interface very intuitive, reporting is quicker and easier. I’m confident that Sage 200cloud will grow with the business and streamline processes throughout. CPiO did a great job and we’re looking forward to working with them in many more years to come” concludes Paul.
