The Big Day Out, an initiative created by the Sage Foundation, gathers volunteers to support local charities through hands on site maintenance. CPiO employees rolled up their sleeves to complete maintenance tasks for The Conservation Volunteers at Sale Water Park in Manchester.
Volunteers from CPiO spent the day completing a range of activities including cutting down trees, building fences, garden pruning, litter picking and general tidying up of the area to improve facilities and ensure that they remain safe, welcoming, and functional.
Andrew Watkinson, Managing Director of CPiO expressed his enthusiasm about the event: “The Big Day Out is a fantastic opportunity for us to give back to the community. Working alongside the Sage Foundation allows us to make a tangible difference, and it’s incredibly rewarding to see the immediate impact of our efforts.”
The Big Day Out also fosters team building and networking between volunteers and boosts an organisations social and environmental impact. The day is not only about physical labour but also about building stronger connections within the community and supporting charities by completing tasks that would normally consume valuable resources.
As a Sage Foundation member, CPiO employees support charities through fundraising activities and employee volunteer schemes.
CPiO works with UK charities including RSPCA and The Rayne Foundation and we are committed to helping NPO’s thrive.
In addition to fundraising, the Sage Foundation enables us to offer charitable organisations generous discounts off Sage software such as Sage Intacct.
