An update on Kaspersky

The National Cyber Security Centre has just this week issued fresh warnings about the security risks of using Russian anti-virus software. Officials say the decision to warn people is based on a risk analysis, rather than evidence that espionage has taken place. However, these warnings have directly affected the likes of Kaspersky Labs, as Barclays stop offering free Kaspersky anti-virus products to its new customers, as a precaution.

Officials have stressed that members of the public and businesses should not stop using Kaspersky products. Kaspersky has a well established reputation with approximately 400 million users across the globe.

At CPiO, we are advising our customers who use Kaspersky products that they do not need to take any action. We will not be withdrawing the software from our product line and we will continue to support the Kaspersky range. If you have any questions about this topic and would like to talk to one of our expert team, please email us at marketing@cpio.co.uk or call 0344 880 6140
