We are delighted to congratulate four of our long-standing employees as they celebrate their 25th year anniversary with CPiO.
Our employees play an important role in the success and growth of our company; their commitment, enthusiasm and creative approaches have placed us in a position to outshine the rest. We have established a successful business, operating with integrity and openness to build long-term partnerships with our clients. These values are mirrored and demonstrated by our loyal staff who are at the heart of our business.
CPiO could not have come this far without the continuous dedication of each member of the team, including the employees who have achieved their 25-year milestone with the company. Sam Bathley, James Bedford, Nick Attkins and Jackie White all joined CPiO in 1997. Here they share with us their CPiO roles and journey, but most importantly their most memorable moments from their time here at CPiO.
James Bedford, Technical Director
James joined CPiO as Internal Systems Manager which enabled him to learn about CPiO’s products and move into a customer-facing technical consultancy and presales role. In 2012, James became Director of Infrastructure Services for The Waterdale Group, he now is responsible for the strategic direction and management of CPiO’s growing cloud, technical and product development portfolio. James holds board responsibility for the management of CPiO’s professional services department and supports the consulting teams across Sage 200, Sage X3 and Sage 1000.
Sam Bathley, Account Management Support
Sam started at CPiO as a sales administrator remaining within that role for 10 years, after wanting a new challenge Sam moved to account management support where she now supports the Sage 200 and Sage X3 account managers with campaigns and looks after CPiO’s existing customers. One of Sam’s early memories is working alongside Nick Attkins to handle the Sage upgrades of Tetra 2000 for the potential millennium bug.
Nick Attkins, Support Consultant
Nick became the support team leader within a few months of starting at CPiO, he was later seconded to a new ‘Software Services’ department. When CPiO began reselling Sage X3 Nick was promoted to a support manager, a role that he carried out for the best part of four years. For the last three years, he has moved to a new role as a Senior Sage 1000 support consultant, where he has closed over 6300 support tickets. By 2022, he has reached 10,000 support tickets being closed, which makes him only the third person at CPiO to achieve this feat.
Jackie White, Accounts Assistant
Jackie’s responsibilities over the years have involved managing expense reports and reimbursements, entering financial transactions into our internal databases and reconciling invoices. She ensures that the CPiO accounting department runs smoothly, with transparency and efficiency in all transactions.

Jackie comments that the best thing about working at CPiO after all of these years are “my colleagues and the directors here are like family. Andrew Watkinson and Rebecca Bradley, in particular, have been very supportive over the years that I have worked at CPiO”.
Nick’s most memorable and biggest achievement at CPiO is passing his Microsoft Database Administrator qualification, which was an intense solutions based 7-day boot camp. Nick says the best thing about working at CPiO are “the people that I work with – they are brilliant.”
Sam enjoys that CPiO feels like a family run business, her team includes different individuals with unique personalities and skills who are all knowledgeable about CPiO. Sam believes she is still learning, still growing and still evolving even to this day.
“If I won the lottery, I would without a doubt invest back into CPiO, the company have given so much to me, I would be more than happy to give back to them”.
