Cablecom Networking selects Sage X3 with CPiO

Cablecom Networking selects Sage X3 with CPiO

CableCom Networking, a leading provider of managed Internet services to high density accommodation, has selected to implement Sage X3 with Sage Strategic Partner, CPiO.

Based in Bristol, CableCom Networking supplies services to over 250,000 residents across the UK and has seen significant growth over the last few years. In line with CableCom’s ambitious growth plans, senior management undertook a review of the entire business in 2015 and identified that its existing business management systems were inadequate to support the company moving forward. “At the heart of the operation was Sage 50, but this was supported by a plethora of departmental databases and Excel spreadsheets. The company had outgrown its software and we recognised it was going to hold us back if we didn’t invest”, comments Clare Honeybun, Financial Controller at CableCom Networking.

After developing a thorough list of requirements and investigating which software was most appropriate to review the company, CableCom Networking contacted a number of suppliers, focusing its attention on three core software platforms. Subsequently, Sage X3 was selected by CableCom Networking because it felt that it would offer the business a great deal of flexibility in its future development. “We liked the fact that there were options as to how we wanted to manage our business in Sage X3. This gave us the confidence that we could grow into the system and develop it as our business changed. By selecting X3 we felt that we were “future proofing” our investment.”

CableCom Networking reviewed Sage X3 with two Sage solution partners but selected to work with Midland’s based CPiO. The company felt CPIO best understood its business. “The team at CPIO had a great attitude to learning about CableCom and what we are trying to achieve. This implementation will be a big learning curve for the team here and we feel confident we have selected the right people to work alongside us.”
