What is Public Cloud?
Public clouds use shared infrastructure, meaning you share the same hardware, storage, and network devices with other organisations or cloud tenants. You access services and manage your account using a web browser. Public cloud resources (like servers and storage) are owned and operated by a third-party cloud service provider and delivered over the internet. All hardware, software, and supporting infrastructure are owned and managed by the cloud provider. Sage Business Cloud is a Public Cloud hosted in Microsoft Azure or AWS depending on your solution.
Alternatively, if you choose to work with a Cloud partner like CPiO Cloud you are able to host your Sage applications privately and without many of the restrictions that come with Public Cloud. A Private Cloud is a dedicated single application resource, where the infrastructure and software deployed are exclusively dedicated and accessible by one business. A private cloud like CPiO Cloud can make it easier for an organisation to customise their Sage applications and resources to meet specific IT requirements.
