CPiO is here to help organisations make the right decisions about business management software and the underlying technical infrastructure they rely on every day to help run their day to day operations. We advise, sell, implement, train and support a wide range of software, offer up to date deployment solutions and support over 400 clients in major industry sectors including manufacturing, distribution, not for profit and the service sector, as well as in niche markets.
Formed in 1990, we have established a successful business built upon delivering quality in everything we do, operating with integrity and openness to build long term partnerships with our clients. These are values demonstrated by our loyal staff who are at the heart of our operation and is the foremost reason why we win new clients and, more importantly, we keep them.
CPiO’s culture isn’t expressly defined, nor is it often discussed amongst staff. It is inherent and has grown from like-minded management and employees who fundamentally want to do a great job. The ethical and honest way we do business is reflected in how we treat our staff, our business partners and our clients. Andrew’s enthusiasm, drive and determination to create a successful, progressive business had a significant influence on The Waterdale Group becoming one of the UK’s leading ERP and CRM specialists in the mid-market.
An approachable character, Andrew is respected at Sage and within its respective channels. He is also widely regarded by CPiO’s customers for his fairness and honesty combined with a genuine desire to ensure that they receive excellent service.
Appointed as Managing Director of The Waterdale Group in 2006, Andrew spent the former years as its Sales and Marketing Director, successfully securing sustained growth for the company.
In his role as Managing Director, Andrew is focussing on the future of the business, looking to ensure that it grows steadily whilst also retaining its excellent reputation for strong customer service.
Rebecca joined CPiO in September 1999. She has been instrumental in shaping and controlling the sales and marketing departments since this time. Rebecca is passionate about delivering an excellent end to end customer service and she drives innovative, commercial initiatives with this in the forefront of her mind.
Appointed to the Board in January 2012 to support the general management function of the Group, Rebecca has played an integral part in Board-level communications, strategic planning, change-management programmes, sales strategy alignment and HR development.
Aside from Rebecca’s commercial role, she supports the Managing Director, Andrew Watkinson in focussing on the future of the business, ensuring customers are at the heart of every decision.
James joined CPiO in March 1997 as Internal Systems Manager during which time he gained an understanding of CPiO’s product portfolio which enabled him to move into a customer facing technical consultancy and presales role. James was instrumental in the design, development and successful launch of CPiO Cloud, our dedicated hosted managed service which, at launch, was unique in the UK channel.
In 2012 James was appointed as Director of Infrastructure Services for The Waterdale Group. James is now the CPiO Technical Director responsible for the strategic direction and management of CPiO’s growing cloud, technical and product development portfolio. He also holds Board responsibility for the management of CPiO’s professional services department, supporting the consulting teams across Sage 200, Sage X3 and Sage 1000.
Karl’s career spans 20 plus years as FD/CFO working in numerous sectors including Manufacturing, Agriculture, Not-for-profit, Oil and IT, with turnover ranging from start-up to $1billion. He holds experience in running teams in the UK, Europe, North America, Central and South America, Far East & Australasia.
Karl was appointed to the Board in early 2021 to support the other Directors in the strong day to day management and assist the organisation in the next phase of growth.
Following a successful career delivering complicated and maintained systems to large accountancy companies, Paul began his career at The Waterdale Group in 1994 heading Technical Services to advise large customers in the Tetra base on complex project requirements and deliverables.
Subsequently over the next six years Paul’s career flourished as more customers capitalised on his specialist expertise and knowledge in architectural design. It was Paul’s skill that recognised the value of business opportunities beyond the more complicated ERP opportunities and he was appointed Director of the newly formed eSpida Limited in the year 2000. Since then, there has been a strong focus on expanding the consultancy practice by targeting better asset custodianship with both problem solving and qualification at the core of all pursuits. His passion for evolving technologies and people places Paul at the heart of customer projects from inception, helping to strategise and build solutions that are both commercially and technically relevant for the future.
A well-respected Director of eSpida, Paul manages a highly specialised team of technical consultants who work within IT departments in some of the UK and Europe’s largest businesses.

Our incredible volunteers joined forces with the fantastic group "Talking Rubbish in Solihull" for a litter picking event. Together, we collected trash, shared laughs, and made a real difference in our beautiful community.
CPiO employees recently took part in The Sage Big Day Out, an initiative organized by the Sage Foundation. They volunteered their time to assist The Conservation Volunteers at Sale Water Park in Manchester.
From tree cutting to litter picking, our team worked diligently to enhance the park's facilities, ensuring a safe and welcoming environment for everyone.

Celebrating International Womens Day: Inspiring talks and insights at our office
We began with an insightful presentation by our Commercial Director, Rebecca Bradley, and HR Manager, Danielle Piotet, who highlighted the gender data gap and shared fascinating statistics about women in the workplace.
The highlight of the morning was a talk by Donna Whitbrook, Chair and Trustee of The Buddy Bag Foundation QAVS. Founded in 2015, this charity makes a difference for children entering emergency care, seeking refuge from domestic abuse. Donna shared her incredible story and illuminated the impactful work of the foundation.
